    Privacy Policy

    Effective Date: September 6, 2025

    Last Updated: September 6, 2025

Amped (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Amped mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.

We follow key privacy principles to ensure your protection. All health calculations are performed locally on your device. Your health data never leaves your device. Analytics collection requires your explicit consent. We collect only the data necessary for the App’s core functionality.

    Information We Collect

When you grant permission, we may access certain health metrics through Apple HealthKit, including physical activity data (steps, exercise minutes, active energy burned), cardiovascular health data (resting heart rate, heart rate variability, VO2 max), sleep data (duration and quality), and body measurements (weight and oxygen saturation, if available). All health data is processed entirely on your device. We never transmit health data to external servers. You may revoke HealthKit permissions at any time through iOS Settings.

Through our onboarding questionnaire, we collect limited personal profile information, including birth year, optional gender, optional height and weight, nutrition quality, smoking status, alcohol consumption, social connections, stress levels, emotional sensitivity, and self-reported blood pressure category. We may also collect your user name for personalization purposes.

We collect minimal app usage data such as onboarding progress, subscription status, app preferences, and engagement metrics like streak tracking and milestones. We also collect technical information, including iOS version compatibility, crash reports, performance metrics, and a randomly generated anonymous identifier if you opt in to analytics.

    How We Use Your Information

We use your information to enable the App’s core functionality. This includes processing health metrics to calculate lifespan impact, generating life expectancy projections, providing personalized insights, and monitoring your progress and engagement. We also use your information to enhance the App experience by personalizing recommendations, saving your onboarding progress, and improving performance and reliability.

If you consent to analytics, we may analyze usage patterns to understand how features are used, monitor performance to identify and resolve issues, and measure feature effectiveness. Analytics are optional, disabled by default, and require your active opt-in.

    Data Storage and Security

Your health data is stored locally on your device using iOS data protection. Profile data is encrypted and stored in secure device storage. Cache data may be stored temporarily to support offline functionality, but it expires automatically. All data benefits from iOS encryption and file protection. We do not use cloud storage for health data. Authentication is handled through Sign in with Apple for additional privacy protection.

Health data is retained locally until you delete the App or revoke permissions. Profile data is stored until account deletion. Cache data expires automatically, and anonymous analytics data is retained only for product improvement.

    Third-Party Services

We use certain Apple services to support functionality, including HealthKit for accessing health data (with your permission), Sign in with Apple for authentication, StoreKit for subscription management, and App Store Connect for distribution and crash reporting.

We also use RevenueCat for subscription management, which may collect purchase information, subscription status, device identifiers, and usage analytics if analytics are enabled. RevenueCat’s privacy policy is available at: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

We do not sell your personal information, share health data with any external services, or use advertising networks or tracking services.

    Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to access, modify, delete, and export your data. Profile data can be reviewed, updated, or removed through the App’s settings. You may also request a copy of your data by contacting support.

HealthKit permissions are under your control. You may select which metrics to share, revoke access at any time through iOS Settings, and continue using the App with reduced functionality if permissions are denied. Analytics are disabled by default, and you may enable or disable them at any time in Settings. Analytics data is anonymous and never personally identifiable.

    Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have received such information, it will be deleted immediately.

    International Users

If you are using the App outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

    Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If significant changes are made, you will be notified within the App. The effective date at the top of this policy will reflect the latest update. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

    California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. You have the right to know what data we collect, the right to request deletion of personal data, the right to opt out of the sale of personal data (though we do not sell data), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
